2008 Zin Blossoms Rose

I discovered this wine while working in Southern France. This refreshing, dry, 100% pure Zinfandel wine is full of fresh strawberries, sunshine and summertime. Best served chilled and an excellent choice as a first wine when surrounded by a circle of friends. Great with California rolls, Thai, garden party, comida Mexicana or BBQ. Get comfortable, get tropical and serve as cold as possible. This wine is titled Zin Blossoms based on a watercolor by Mitra Lucas, “Zin in Full Bloom.” Little did she know that someday her picture would be the inspiration for the label and personality of this wine.

For an easy food pairing, try fresh sliced strawberries, pour on a little Zin Blossoms, add a dash of Balsamic vinegar, add fresh ground black pepper, and serve chilled with toothpicks. As a summer treat you can add the strawberries to a fresh spinach salad with roasted almonds!
